Sri Lanka bond yields down, some activity after rate decision

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s bond yields were slightly lower trading within the cut-off and weighted average from Tuesday’s auction dealers said after the central bank held the overnight 6.0 percent rate unchanged.

A 15.12.2023 bond was quoted at 9.25/35 percent down from 9.75 percent a day earlier.

01.12.2024 was quoted at 9.60/90 percent levels from yesterday 10.00/40 percent.

A 15.01.2027 bond was quoted at 11.25/40 levels down from 11.60 percent a day earlier.

Bill 3-month bills were quoted 7.50/8.10 percent also lower from the auction as market players gained more confidence.

Market participants expect stronger demand for government securities at the next auction.
